ESN's fourth meeting of the European Semester Reference Group will review the European Semester cycle and assess it from the perspective of local public social services. The group will look at the European Commission’s country reports and the Country-specific Recommendations (CSRs), providing input for our annual report, to be published in the autumn, before the next EU Semester cycle begins, in November.
About ESN's Reference Group
Introduced in 2011, the European Semester is the yearly cycle of economic and social policy coordination between the EU and its Member States. In the past years, ESN has worked with up to 25 members and contributors. The aim has been to bring social services to the forefront of the European Semester, often accused of focusing on economic and fiscal issues.
