Annual Review 2015
 
We are delighted to share with you our annual report for 2015.

2015 has been a year of tremendous engagement by members in a whole range of activities. We saw this in the working groups on older people looking at community initiatives in Seville, on mainstream employment of disabled people in Vilnius and in the peer review on investing in children in Budapest.


The work on research and evidence with its toolkit for public services, the review of national government plans within the EU Semester framework, and our research into integrated services for the Manchester seminar were milestones in new developments for ESN.

Social care workforce in older people's services
 
The fourth meeting of ESN's Working Group on Ageing and Care took place in Mechelen, Belgium, on 11-12 February 2016, hosted by ESN member, the Flemish Association of Directors of Social Services. It looked at common challenges and new demands for training and skills development, support for family carers and workforce planning, including recruitment and retention.
