Call for tenders: Experts on the European Semester

The European Social Network (ESN) is looking for external experts to support its work on the European Semester, the cycle of policy coordination between the European Commission and the Member States.

In 2014 ESN launched a Reference Group made up of directors of social services from the different Member States to give greater prominence to social issues and the challenges faced by social services in the framework of the European Semester.

The Reference Group undertakes analysis of both the country reports and country-specific recommendations issued by the European Commission. This is then discussed during an annual meeting, and followed by a report which includes cross-country analysis, individual country profiles, and alternative country-specific recommendations from the Reference Group members. Find out more on ESN's European Semester Reference Group by visiting the dedicated webpage.

Expected tasks

The role of the external expert is to support ESN’s work on the European Semester, primarily by producing cross-country analysis based on the input of the Reference Group members, and presenting this during the annual meeting, which this year will take place on 28-29 June in Brussels.

Application process

ESN invites all interested parties with the required expertise to send the following information by 27 April to William Hayward
