Due to the low number of applications, the European Social Network (ESN) is extending the deadline of the current call for experts to Wednesday 24 September. Applicants of the previous call for experts don’t need to resubmit their application.

 

European Expert Group

 

 

The European Expert Group (EEG) on the transition from institutional to community-based care has launched a call for tender for country experts with relevant experience working in the field of de-institutionalisation reform for one or more groups of people with social or long-term care needs.

 

 

The tender is being launched under the EEG’s Joint Action programme, which is supported by the European Union Programme for Employment and Social Solidarity - PROGRESS (2007-2013). The European Social Network (ESN) is acting as the lead partner for this Joint Action and is responsible for its financial and administrative management. 

 

 

The EEG invites all interested individuals with the required expertise to put forward their proposal by completing and sending the relevant Application Form (Annex 1) and their CV by Wednesday 24 September 2014 to George Intzesiloglou.

 

 

Required expertise

 

 

  • Experience working on deinstitutionalisation reform for one or more groups of people with social or long-term care needs (children and families, people with disabilities, those experiencing mental health problems and homeless people)

  • Knowledge of EU Structural and Investment Funds procedures for 2014-2020

  • Expertise in deinstitutionalisation reform in one or more of the following countries:
    • Austria
    • Czech Republic
    • France
    • Greece
    • Lithuania
    • Serbia
    • Slovakia
    • Slovenia

Scope of the tender

 

The implementation of the following activities, in one or more of the aforementioned countries, will be expected from the country experts:

 

 

  1. Conducting country expert missions

  2. Contributing to the organisation of the country seminars

  3. Developing key country contacts lists

  4. Providing ad-hoc expert advice

  5. Organising four follow-up meetings

  6. Contributing to the high-level conference

The successful experts will sign a contract with ESN under the EEG-Joint Action, will commit to specific deliverables related to the aforementioned activities and will be remunerated accordingly.
