ESN launches training workshop on community care

  

On the 30 November, ESN launched its training programme on deinstitutionalisation, which has sixteen participants from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. It aims to support people in leadership roles at different levels to enhance their capacity to lead the transformation of social services that promote choice and independent living in the community.

European Day of People with Disabilites
Disability NGOs drew attention to the impact of the crisis on people with disabilities at an annual conference in Brussels.
Social Platform on Care
The Platform of European Social NGOs presented its recommendations on care at its 2011 conference in Brussels on 9 December.
 
Community care in Poland
ESN visited some innovative services for people with disabilities in Poland, but the availability of such services is still limited.
