Young adults up to 25 years old are the target demographic for integrated employment support.

The Youth Employment Agency's offerings

The Youth Employment Agency combines three services "under one roof": social support, career counselling, and work coaching. These programmes are offered with the self-activation tenet ("Do something for yourself, we help you."), which builds on a young person's sense of personal accountability.

Tasks and staffing arrangements

Public sector personnel work for youth employment agencies. 70 to 80 cases are assigned to a job coach. Job coaches adhere rigorously to standards, such as 10 percent benefit deductions for missed meetings or a 30 percent deduction for a job offer that is turned down.

Collaboration with other industries

Youth employment agencies collaborate with organisations like NGOs, educational institutions, and social services. Social services that focus on outreach are very helpful in locating disconnected youth who could use more assistance.

Assistance for those with a migration background

German language courses are taught to immigrants for 900 hours up to level B1.

Goals of the project: Reducing youth unemployment; improving the calibre of employment help for young people; developing integrated services with a robust network of support services; enhancing transitions from school to work for young people.
