International flights and trains

Planes
Prague’s international airport, Ruzyne
is located 18 kilometres from the city centre and Prague
Congress Centre, with direct flights from/to most major
European destinations.

Trains
Prague’s main international train station is the Main
Railway Station, Wilsonovo Nadrazi (Hlavni Nadrazi),
located 5 minutes/3 metro stops from Prague Congress
Centre.
International rail tickets can be purchased online (click
here for helpful instructions in English) or by
phone (English spoken) on + 420 840 112 113.
Onward travel from the airport to the
conference centre
By
public transport (bus/metro):
The only means of public transport that leaves or
arrives at Ruzyně airport is the bus.
There are 2 possible routes:
1) Express airport bus service
AE runs at 30 minute intervals from outside
the airport terminal (last departure 22.36) to the main
train station (Hlavní nádraží). Tickets are purchased
on the bus. From Hlavní nádraží take
red metro line C for 3 stops in direction Háje,
to get off at Vyšehrad. The Congress
Centre is located right next to the metro stop. A simple
metro ticket is 18 CZK (0.60 euro).
This combined bus-metro journey will take approx 45
minutes and costs a total of 68
CZK (approx 2.5 euro).
2) Standard bus number 119
runs regularly from outside the airport terminal to
Dejvická metro station (line A). Buy
a transfer ticket or přestupní
jízdenka for 26 CZK (approx 1 euro) from the
Public Transport Information booth at the airport or
directly from the bus driver (costs a little more).
From Dejvická metro station, take
the service in direction Skalka to
the Muzeum stop. At Muzeum,
change to line C, direction Háje. Get
off at Vyšehrad. The Congress Centre
is located right next to the metro stop.
This combined bus-metro journey will take approx 55
minutes and costs 26 CZK (approx 1 euro) - the cost
of a transfer ticket or přestupní
jízdenka.
A note about tickets:
For each piece of luggage larger than 25 cm x 45 cm
x 70 cm (10 in x 18 in x 28 in), it is necessary to
purchase a 13 CZK (approx 0.5 euro)
transfer ticket.
Single and transfer tickets are sold through yellow
ticket vending machines (which only take coins, but
do offer instructions in English), at ticket offices
located in all metro stations, at a Tabák/Trafika, at
some newsstands and at tourist information centres.
Ticket offices are located at many metro stations (e.g.
Dejvická, Hradčanská, Můstek, Florenc, Hlavní nádraží,
Nádraží Holešovice, Náměstí Míru) and are usually open
from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., some are closed for lunch.
A ticket must be punched at the entrance to the metro
station.

By taxi :
If travelling by taxi, it is important
to use a reputable company such as those listed below.
You can book a taxi in advance by phone or go to the
taxi stands outside the arrivals terminal. They are
all clearly marked and easy to distinguish.

The journey takes between 25
minutes and 50 minutes, depending on traffic, and costs
between 600 and 700 CZK (approx 22-26 euros)
Onward travel from the train station
to the conference centre
By metro:
From Prague Main Station (Hlavní
nádraží), take metro (red line C) direction
Háje. Get off at the third stop called
Vyšehrad. The Congress Centre is located right
next to the stop.
Total journey time: 5
minutes, single ticket cost 18 CZK (approx 0.70
euro)
By taxi:

The journey takes between 10
and 20 minutes, depending on traffic, and costs between
180 and 250 CZK (approx 7-9 euros).
