Associacio catalan de municipis

The Catalan Association of Municipalities (ACM) brings together more than a thousand local partners to  defending and represent the interests of all local authorities in Catalonia.

The association supports and provides legal advice to local authorities to interpret the various laws that affect the local municipalities; trains more than more than 9,000 local elected members and technical in different masters, postgraduates, courses and seminars on topics related with municipality; provides better services to citizens by municipalities, through aggregate purchase (as electricity, gas, vehicles, equipment, insurance, risk prevention, computer equipment, multifunction machines and technical equipment); and advise and support local authorities on European Funds through our European Funds Office.

ACM works to ensure that all citizens of Catalonia can have the same services wherever they live and defend inexhaustible and constant daily task performed by local authorities.

Barcelona Provincial Council is a second level local administration of the Province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The Equality and Social Sustainability Area aims to support municipalities so that they can provide basic social services observing the conditions of equity and quality across their territory, as well as to improve the gender equality and coexistence policies, and the public health and consumption services.

At the moment, Hoplr is used in over 3,000 neighbourhoods by in excess of 850,000 households, with more than 72% of them going online for the service at least once a week. Hoplr works with around 150 local authorities in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Turkey.

In 2004, we were declared a Public Utility Entity by the Interior Ministry of Spain, and our headquarters are in Barcelona, Madrid, and Palma (Mallorca). At Intress, we work with a “self-centred” care and community policy to help people become independent and self-reliable.

We work in different strategic areas such as childhood and family, young migrants, elderly, justice and community, gender equality or mental health.
