With the Covid-19 crisis, it has become particularly necessary the implementation of digital processes in the provision of social services. For professionals who are on the frontline and deliver social services and social care, innovative forms of delivery are critical, whether artificial intelligence for decision-making, digital tools for remote visits or virtual reality for professionals. All these can impact the social outcomes of the workforce and the people they serve.

It has also become apparent a greater need for intersectoral and interagency approaches between public authorities, providers and community services with the consequent need for appropriate training, redesign of care processes, as well as enablement on technological and digital platforms and tools.

In cooperation with IBM, the European Social Network (ESN) is organising this webinar to address how Covid-19 has impacted the IT tools that public social services use and how the newly implemented solutions may become sustainable over time.

Speakers include:

  • Luis Torrens, Social Innovation Director, Barcelona City Council
  • Pedro Monteiro, Project Manager for Digital Transformation Projects, Santa Casa, Lisbon
  • Sean Renner, EMEA Lead, IBM Watson Health

Moderated by Alfonso Montero, ESN’s CEO & Andreas Gollner, Government Health & Human Services Strategist, IBM Watson Health
