Elona leads the ENS support to coordinating and managing the ESN’s partnership with the European Commission.  In her role, she manages the policy team in the implementation of the EC programme and the coordination of on specific EU policy, e.g. the European Semester. Elona  also supports the CEO in the development of external partnerships. 

Prior to joining ESN, Elona has gained extensive experience in and expertise on EU asylum acquis and in migration management while working with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the European Council on Refugees (ECR), the Odysseus Academic Network and through her postgraduate studies. Elona has worked as Policy Assistant to the Prime Minister of Albania. She is also an expert in full cycle project management and has led several EU projects. 

In her free time, Elona enjoys painting, cycling, and swimming.
