Anna Riatti is the current UNICEF Representative to Romania. She joined UNICEF in 2004 and has 25 years of professional experience in international cooperation. Prior to Romania, she held several leadership roles and guided the organisation’s child rights work in Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iran, Sudan, and Sri Lanka. She also served in technical roles in the Middle East and North Africa Regional Office in Jordan. Prior to joining UNICEF, she worked with UNAIDS in Myanmar and served with an NGO in Iraq. She holds a master's degree in political science from the University of Milan and post graduate academic degrees in international cooperation and human rights. She is fluent in Italian, English, and French.
