Carla is a Social Worker who graduated in 2019 and has since developed her professional career primarily within public social services. She has worked for the regional government in the field of social inclusion and later within local public social services, gaining experience across a range of areas of social intervention. Her professional experience includes working with people experiencing homelessness and complex situations involving addiction, violence and social exclusion, as well as community-based social services for the general population and social care for older people within the dependency system.


Throughout her career, Carla has been guided by a strong commitment to social justice, human rights and the transformative role of social work. Her professional practice is complemented by her involvement in social activism and her commitment to advancing social change through social work practice and strengthening social services as a tool for social justice and inclusion.

Driven by a commitment to continuous learning, she has pursued professional development in areas related to social emergencies, social inclusion, housing, ageing, public policy and other fields of social intervention.

She is also a member of the Galician Social Emergency Intervention Group (GIES), where she has participated in training and emergency simulation exercises. She currently serves as Membership Lead of the IFSW Europe New Social Workers Network.
