Enrique Mur is the Commander in Chief of the Fire, Rescue and Civil Protection Service of the Zaragoza City Council (Spain). A firefighter since 1996, he currently leads the operational command of the department and oversees Civil Protection emergency planning, including the development of Zaragoza’s Social Emergency Plan.

Alongside his public service career, he holds a degree from the Polytechnical University of Salamanca and a master's degree from the University of Barcelona. He lectures in Philosophy and Theology at a University of Salamanca affiliated campus in Zaragoza, teaching Philosophical Anthropology and Sacramental Theology in several university degree programs.

He also serves as Social Vice President of Fundación CAI, a charitable foundation with more than 120 years of history in the Aragón region.

Throughout his nearly 30-year career, he has taken part in a wide range of emergency operations, including international search and rescue missions following major disasters in the Philippines (2008), Haiti (2010), Türkiye and Morocco (2023), and led Zaragoza’s deployment during the Valencia floods (DANA) in 2024.
