Fiona Lawrence is the Operations Manager for Argyll & Bute, a rural area of Scotland which includes high levels of multiple deprivation. 

Fiona manages Carr Gomm’s Responder Service, which provides vital 24/7 emergency support across Argyll and Bute, primarily to older individuals in need. 

The Responder service is a lifeline for those wishing to remain safely in their own homes for as long as possible. Fiona and her team ensure that people can live with dignity, safety, and support in the place they call home. 

With a strong focus on person-centred care, Fiona brings unique insight into supporting people aged 65+ in remote and rural communities, where geography, access and resilience shape service delivery.

Before joining Carr Gomm, Fiona lectured at the University of the Highlands and Islands, combining academic insight with real-world practice. She lives on the Isle of Bute, is an avid animal lover, and a proud Mum.
