Furkan is a Project Coordinator at Volonteurope, where he focuses on participatory democracy, foresight, volunteering and youth engagement. He explores how civil society organisations can use foresight to imagine multiple futures, strengthen preparedness and respond to present-day challenges. 

He is also engaged in environmental action, with a particular focus on water literacy and water stewardship. He has a background in law and European studies and was previously a Climate Pact Ambassador for the European Commission in Belgium and Germany.
