Gerard Brophy is Chief Social Worker in Tusla, the Child and Family Agency in Ireland. He has over 25 years as a qualified social worker and manager working in child and family services across direct work and governance. He leads a team, supporting practitioners in delivering effective services to children and families and promoting excellence and continuous improvement in practice. The Office of the Chief Social Worker is also leading for Tusla on recruitment and retention of social workers and the implementation of the Barnahus interagency model to support children who have experienced sexual abuse.
