Jiří Švarc is the Head of the Unit for Social Policies, Child Guarantee and the Social Protection Committee at the European Commission. His unit develops policies at EU-level aimed at fighting poverty, including child poverty, while fostering upward social convergence. He is also responsible for initiatives covering minimum income, access to essential services and distributional impact assessment.
