Magdalena Bochińska is a Chief Specialist at the Ministry of Justice in Poland, seconded to the Children's Rights Division, Directorate-General of Democracy and Human Dignity at the Council of Europe. She has over 15 years of experience supporting victims of crime, with a particular focus on developing a system of assistance for victims of domestic violence and child-friendly justice. She has significant expertise in the areas of children and women's rights, particularly in the fields of child protection, sexual violence and exploitation, and holistic services for victims of crime, having worked as both a project coordinator and researcher. She serves as the Polish representative on the Lanzarote Commission and is a long-standing expert of the Association of European Network on Victims' Rights (AENVR).
Furthermore, she serves as a second-term member of the Council for the Prevention of Domestic Violence, which is now operating at the National Centre for the Prevention of Addiction in Poland. Ms. Bochinska is also a member of the Council for Free Legal Aid, Free Citizens' Advice and Legal Education in the Polish Ministry of Justice.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Ms. Bochinska is passionate about family law and volunteers with local NGOs to provide assistance and support to victims of war and children who experience all types of violence.
