Piotr Sadowski serves as Secretary General of Volonteurope, a Brussels‑based European network advocating for social justice, active citizenship, foresight and democratic engagement across Europe and beyond. With over 15 years of experience in the sector, he has worked extensively to promote the European Social Charter and align it with the European Pillar of Social Rights, helping to advance social justice and reduce inequalities throughout Europe. As Vice President of the Conference of INGOs of the Council of Europe, Piotr has championed initiatives such as the Social Rights Tracker and the collective complaints mechanism, empowering civil society organisations to monitor, document and advocate for stronger social policies and more effective enforcement of social rights.
Piotr is an outspoken advocate for the intersection of human rights and social rights, focusing on their critical role in fostering democracy, inclusion and economic equality. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to ensuring that inclusive, democratic processes and meaningful civil dialogue remain central to advancing equality, dignity and sustainable development in Europe, including through his role as Co‑Chair of the EESC Liaison Group with European civil society organisations and networks.
