Rareș Achiriloaie is currently serving as President, with the rank of State Secretary, of the National Authority for the Protection of Children’s Rights and Adoption.
A career diplomat, he has previously worked in 6 different central institutions, in both the executive and the legislative branches of government.
Rareș is also a Bureau Member of the Council of Europe’s Committee for the Rights of the Child (CDENF), as well as national coordinator for the implementation of the European Child Guarantee in Romania.
His academic background is in international relations, with graduated studes at SOAS – University of London, Sciences Po Paris and SNSPA Bucharest.
