Vilborg graduated from the University of Iceland with a bachelor’s degree in social work in 2010. She obtained a diploma in disability studies in 2011, a diploma in public administration in 2019, and a diploma in Iceland’s Prosperity Act in 2023. She has worked in various roles within the social service of Reykjanesbær since 2012. She has been the Team Leader of the Children and Family Team since 2021 and had a large role in implementing the Prosperity Act in Reykjanesbær.
