Martin Lichte is the Senior Policy Officer at the European Social Network. His expertise lies in quality assurance, social services integration, community care, long-term care, and social inclusion. In his role at ESN, he is, among others, responsible for the programmatic preparation of policy events and advocacy towards EU institutions. He co-authored several ESN publications such as the the 2022 Briefing on Quality in Social Services, the 2022 Integrated Minimum Income Report, the 2021 Integrated Care and Support Report and the 2020 Putting Quality First Report. In 2023, he co-organised the ESN seminar on Community Care, a European parliament roundtable on innovative tools for material support, and the ESN working group meeting on quality in social services. He is a vice-representative of ESN in the EU disability platform and is involved in several ESN projects, such as on minimum income and access to funding for social services. Prior to joining ESN, he worked for several not-for-profit associations in the field of social inclusion.
Martin holds a French-German MA in European and International Governance from Sciences-Po Lille and the University of Münster.
