With the onset of the Covid19 crisis, the Department of International Relations, attached to the Israeli Ministry of labour, Social Affairs and Social Services, were tasked with researching innovative best practices from around the world in the area of delivering social services and looking after vulnerable populations in the context of the pandemic and social distancing requirements. These practices and policies were instrumental in developing Israeli policy to address the serious challenges posed by Covid19.
Launched in July, Israel's Social Services: Best Practices During the COVID 19 Outbreak' is the first edition of good practices and policies which were globally collected and applied to the Israeli social context. Some of these measures were influenced by shared best practices, while others were developed locally either at the level of the individual service, the community, or the Ministry's headquarters. It is the expressed hope of our Israeli members that, in sharing these best practices, other international organisations and partners may benefit from some of the lessons learned in Israel.
