The Agency for a Life of Quality (AVIQ) is Wallonia’s public agency bringing together welfare, health, disability and family-allowance responsibilities. It organises and funds front-line home help, nursing-home and hospital care, as well as health-promotion and disease-prevention programmes. The agency also supports people with disabilities through several programmes and sets the rules, budgets and oversight for family allowances paid to children living in Wallonia.
