The Children Confederation, based in Vilnius, is actively fighting for the implementation of fundamental children's rights in Lithuania and currently brings together more than 70 different non-governmental organizations working with children. It also regularly monitors and compiles information on state-run programmes for the benefit of children and the enforcement of children's rights. In addition, it prepares the UN report on the "Implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child in Lithuania".
