The CPAS of the City of Brussels offers a very large range of public social services and actions to help people in need. It is one of the 19 Public Centres of Social Welfare (CPAS/OCMW) that are active in the Brussels-Capital Region. Working closely with the City of Brussels, they actively work on fighting and preventing poverty, but also invest on socially affordable housing development, owning more than 2,000 housing facilities and running 5 rest homes and retirement and nursing homes for elderly.
