Building partnerships to improve lives

We are delighted to launch the website for our annual conference – this year we are partnering with the Government of Portugal to bring the event to Lisbon on 6-8 July. Our 23rd European Social Services Conference will explore the evidence and experiences in service and sector partnership and what this means for people’s lives, service efficiency and the impact on social welfare landscape for the future.

The theme

Building social service partnerships for people with care, health, educational, housing and employment needs can deliver more personalised assessment and improve outcomes, a focus on integrated community living and better use of public budgets. As people increasingly connect with each other using a wide range of mobile technologies, how should government and industry develop solutions to build partnerships, integrate services and improve lives? Workshops

The workshops provide a great opportunity for those facing common challenges in different regions to share their experience, learning and examples of best practice. This year we will be hosting 24 workshops covering a variety of topics, from how to leverage the skills and resources of the private sector to integrate health and social care, to how to respond to the demographic change through successful cooperation between local authorities, citizens and service providers.
