23 workshops announced
23 workshops are now confirmed for the 30th European Social Services Conference in Hamburg in June. Delegates will be able to hear the latest developments and ideas from presenters from 13 different countries - Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Malta, Spain, United Kingdom and USA - around the themes of: Strategic changes in your organisation; Improving the experience of people using social services; and Investing in the workforce.
4 Thematic Panel Discussions
On 10 June, delegates will be able to choose between animated debates on:
- ‘Leave No Child Behind! European examples of integrated family and children’s services (hosted by Bertelsmann Stiftung)
- The essential role of social services (hosted by Eurofound)
- Workforce development in social care
- Social services transformation in the wake of the crisis

Let’s Go Digital!
This highly topical session on 9 June will look at how ‘digital’ is impacting people’s experience of social services, as well as discussing some of the tools available to support people experiencing homelessness, children in care, young people in their transition to adulthood and people with disabilities in their social inclusion.
Project Forum
On 10 June, we can also look forward to 7 quick-fire presentation pitches from Ireland, Spain, France and Austria. Presenters will share their experiences of implementing projects on such diverse topics such as to improve the participation of disabled people in the management of the services they use; supporting the well-being of social workers; or how Covid-19 has affected the delivery of health and social services in France. Updated information on COVID-19
The European Social Services Conference will be held in full accordance with the regulations set out by the German authorities for events. The current rules stipulate that attendees must follow the 3G model. This means that each delegate needs to be either:
- fully vaccinated with booster
- in possession of daily negative test if vaccinated but not boostered
- recently recovered (within last 3 months)
Currently, delegates must wear FFF2 masks when inside the conference area
