The ageing of populations, the increase in social inequalities and the impact of climate change on local communities are just some of the many global challenges facing social services. More recently, the Covid-19 pandemic and the invasion of Ukraine have motivated social services to modernise and adapt to meet these newly emerging social needs

The European Social Services Awards, now in their fourth year, are a unique opportunity to highlight the amazing work of your social services teams and your innovative responses to these challenges. With the theme ‘Innovation for Social Change,’  the 2022 Awards will recognise those social services which have developed and implemented a new and innovative process, product, approach, model or programme that improves the services themselves or the lives of the populations they work with to enable people to live independent and better-quality lives.

Why participate in the Awards?

  • Showcase and gain recognition for the innovative work undertaken by your social services teams
  • Network with peers and learn about innovative social work practices from across Europe
  • Shortlisted projects attend evening ceremony in Malaga, Spain in November 2022.
