What is in for social services in next year’s European Commission’s programme?

The European Commission launched last week the first outlines of their 2022 programme, which is intended to contribute to supporting the recovery from Covid-19. Though it is still unclear as to what it will mean for public social policy and for social inclusion more specifically, there are some promising features that could deliver tangible impacts if they are well conceptualised and developed.

30 projects have been shortlisted by our judges in five categories - Social Services Innovation; Outstanding Team; Collaborative Practice; Technology Tools and Research Projects. Taking a data-led approach to help Vulnerable People

It’s a fact that’s impossible to ignore: public services are under constant pressure to do more with less. The Global Pandemic that we experienced in the past 18 months has further exacerbated the situation . Building a caregiving profession fit for the future

COVID19 has shown the vulnerabilities of the long-term care sector, highlighting once again the key role of a skilled care workforce for a high quality and ongoing provision of services to people with long-term care needs. As we look at how to build a more resilient care sector, the acute - and expanding - shortage of professional care workers around the globe poses a big risk to a sustainable recovery.
