The goal of this project is to restructure services into an integrated framework that will better meet the needs of kids and families and incorporate the creation of neighbourhood family centres. The emphasis will be shifted toward early support and care services and preventive efforts, while basic services will be improved.

The concept is being implemented in the Häme area by bringing service professionals together. Through shared working methods, interdisciplinary service counselling, and common management discussion forums, new models of cross-sectoral cooperation are being established.

Some of the project's practical components include training social, health, and education workers in standard working procedures, establishing venues for debating the administration and expansion of services across sectors and local boundaries, creating a brand-new, regional service counselling model that strengthens multidisciplinary methods and provides clients with a case manager to supervise cross-sector collaboration in challenging cases, developing and implementing digital tools to manage cross-sectoral cooperation, and changing the workplace culture through collaboration and planning. This entails a shift away from a sector-specific, restricted approach and toward a focus on the whole situation, needs, and goals of each child.
