Europe has an ageing population and a shortage of caregivers. As the primary consumer of the silver economy (+50% share), the health sector is under pressure. Older adults have little digital engagement, which hinders the integration of health services and enhanced connectivity to the ageing population. Isolation is a significant concern for older persons, and furthermore, older individuals in institutional households and residences were under-occupied due to the high cost of living. Therefore, this project takes the growing demand for home care into account.

This project aims to create a home care solution for and in collaboration with senior citizens in Germany, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Hungary;  to construct a co-creation lab in each participating nation, then to plan and manage 18 pilot projects—two SME projects and one policy project—in each of those environments; to enhance senior citizens' home care and health.
