This practice promotes empowerment and participation of older adults through a human rights-based approach to care. Through participatory workshops, care home residents discussed their rights and responsibilities, exploring how autonomy, privacy, and social participation can be strengthened, particularly within care settings. The workshops fostered a culture of dialogue and co-creation, as their outcomes serve as the foundation for our organisation-wide process “Human Rights Do Not Age”, which embeds the human rights of older adults into all aspects of organisational development.
