The main focus of this project is the integration of early childhood education and care (ECEC) services across various sectors to develop an integrated approach toward services for children and families. This approach also supports the child’s transition between services from daycare, kindergarten, to school. To achieve the goals of this project, the following actions were established: mapping of services at the local level, creation of an integrated system centred on children and families, the development and implementation of quality indicators and principles, the establishment of action plans that support families and their children and strengthening the function of professionals.

The aim of this project is to address the lack of structured transitional measures available to families, integrated services with sufficient coordination, and quality controls. Overall, the project set-out to promote holistic and child-centred methods to ECEC. The outcome is that children and families have access to quality services.
