: Since 1995, the City of Helsinki has provided supported employment through job coaching as part of its social services. Job coaches help their clients find and negotiate tailored jobs in the open labour market. Each client is assigned two coaches who collaborate as a team. Only a few other larger cities in Finland provide this type of service, namely open labour market employment (see also section 5). The use of this service is entirely voluntary. People with learning disabilities and people on the autism spectrum aged 18 and up can access employment and training services through the city of Helsinki's social services.

Aims: People with learning disabilities and autistic people can be trained for jobs; Assist them in finding work in the open/regular labour market.
