RuralCare is a European innovation project in social services, funded by the EU Programme for Employment and Social Inclusion, consisting of the design, testing and evaluation of an innovative systemic approach to the provision of integrated long-term care for people living in rural areas depending on their values, desires and individual preferences.

The project tests a multi-level partnership for the provision of care, including public and private actors and coordination of social and health services at local, regional and national levels, with the participation of the users, with the aim to address the challenges of accessibility, affordability, quality and sustainability in unpopulated rural areas and thus make it easier for people to stay at home, with a support plan appropriate to their life project.

The project runs for 36 months until October 2023.

ESN is responsible for practice identification and analysis, knowledge transfer, communication and dissemination, including the organisation of two workshops and the closing conference in September 2023.
