Aðalbjörg´s field of expertise is in Welfare Services and she has worked in the Welfare Department in Reykjavik, for over thirty years. She started her work as a social worker in March 1992 and worked both in welfare and child protection for the first three years. Since then she has been leading welfare services in one of the Service Centers in Reykjavík. For the past eight years Aðalbjörg has been situated in the Central Office of the Welfare Department as the leader of the Office for Disability Policy and Practice. Having worked with several stakeholders in welfare services over the years, Aðalbjörg deeply believes in co-creation  in all decisions made in the field of services. Exchange of ideas, working across boundaries, co-operation and co-creation have never been as essential as in our times, right here and now.
