Graham has worked in social services in the UK, USA and, since 1988, in Sweden. He is currently Director of Social Services in the municipality of Trosa, a short commute south-west of the capital, Stockholm. He sits on the Board of the Swedish Association of Social Services Directors and amongst other roles is chairman of the board of the Research and Development Unit in the county of Södermanland.
From those early days witnessing the movement from institutional to community care to the current developments, Graham is convinced that social work and support in community settings can make a huge difference in people’s lives.
Outside of work, Graham enjoys travelling and dividing his time between Sweden and his homeland, Wales. Football is top of the list of sporting interests and long-distance walking to keep the head clear and the cobwebs away.
