Hussein obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, specializing in Communication Principles at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Ghent University. Driven by his passion for Communication Sciences and digital media, Hussein pursued two Master’s degrees in Digital Media and Digital Media in the EU, at KU Leuven and Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

Prior to his journey at ESN, he contributed to the communications efforts of various NGOs, such as the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and worked as a journalist writing articles, reports, and news fragments for national and Arabic media.

When he is not working, Hussein enjoys drinking coffee, learning how to play chess, studying networks and coding, and looking for a good spot to pitch his tent during the summer.
