How can public authorities ensure quality in procuring long-term care services?

This is the topic we will discuss in our 2020 annual seminar.

The seminar will bring together professionals and researchers to engage in a discussion on how (local) public social services can best procure, commission and contract long-term care services while guaranteeing high quality.

Plenary discussions and workshops will provide a platform of exchange and inspiration for good practice and ideas for improvement.

At the seminar we will present the results of the questionnaire with our members and ESN’s 2020 policy work on quality in long-term care, undertaken in collaboration with Kai Leichsenring from the Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research (Austria). The seminar will also build on  ESN’s 2010 study on Contracting for Quality and other ESN activities, such as Workforce and Quality Social Services, and will take stock of experiences with the Covid19 pandemic.

Speakers include representatives from the OECD, the European Commission and the London School of Economics as well as ESN members from across Europe. To find out, please visit the event page with the programme.
