As negotiations on the next EU budget move forward, ESN is organising a high-level roundtable on 11 June 2026 15:00-17:00 at the European Parliament on “The Future of Social Services in the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF)”.
This event will discuss how to ensure social services access EU funding under the new MFF, with the main ESN asks having been presented in a recent statement.
ESN members represented by mayors, councillors of social affairs and directors of social services will have the opportunity to explain to EU decision makers how the next EU budget can uphold and ensure support for social services, strengthen social inclusion, and respond to local and regional needs across Europe.
Confirmed speakers include:
MEP Hristo Petrov (Renew), MEP Estelle Ceulemans (S&D), MEP João Oliveira (The Left), MEP Gordan Bosanac (Greens/EFA), MEP Vladimir Prebilič (Greens/EFA), and Ruth Paserman (European Commission), among other EU stakeholders.
