Access policy recommendations aimed at improving the way EU funding supports social services. This section brings together relevant recommendations and evidence developed to support better cooperation, funding and implementation.
Developed under the HELPDESK project, this guidance draws on Country Profile Sheets for all 27 EU Member States, a European survey of Managing Authorities and social services, National Evidence Gathering Fora, and cross-sectoral workshops to set out policy recommendations for social services providers. It focuses on person-centred, rights-based, evidence-informed service design, accessibility, staff training, and the use of technology to improve service quality, alongside ten practical steps providers can take immediately to strengthen how they use ESF+ and ERDF funding.
