Following a new momentum at EU level on active inclusion with the European Pillar of Social Rights and the Social Investment Package, ESN is organising a seminar in cooperation with the Austrian Presidency of the EU and our Austrian member, the City of Vienna, focussing on how social services are supporting people furthest from the labour market to find and retain jobs through empowerment and autonomy.

At the seminar, we are discussing a shift in perspective of policy-making, from an activation approach grounded on employment to a more holistic one - where health, education, housing and emplyment are all considered important factors to improve outcomes for social inclusion of vulnerable people. Target groups include people with disabilities, disadvantaged young people, people with mental illness, single parent households, migrants and refugees, long-term unemployed and homeless people.

Please find here the delegate pack in English & German.
