Ensuring that everyone can play an active role in their local community, regardless of their background, abilities or characteristics, is a key concern for social services across Europe.
The European Social Network advocates for a holistic approach to supporting social inclusion, which seeks to address the root causes of poverty and disadvantage and ensure the integrated provision of services, personalised plans, adequate income support, a labour market which accounts for people’s specific needs, and access to quality services. Through innovative social services programmes, our members actively promote inclusion strategies to lift individuals and families out of poverty and ensure that everyone, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds can participate fully in all aspects of society.
