This year, the European Social Network has the pleasure of co-hosting its annual seminar with Bucharest's 6th District City Council - General Directorate for Social Care and Child Protection (DGASPC 6) and in partnership with the Federation of Non-governmental Organisations for Children, National Authority for the Protection of Children’s Rights and Adoption, Save the Children Romania, UNICEF Romania and World Bank Romania.

Over the course of two days, we will discuss with experts, decision-makers, social services managers, practitioners, and persons with lived experience:

  • How to prevent harm to children.
  • Promoting community- and family-based alternative care placements.
  • How social services collaborate to protect children.
  • What support international organisations and the EU provide to develop integrated approaches to child protection.
  • How to strengthen the child protection workforce.
  • How children can be involved in decision-making.
